WILLIAM ROGERS b. 1770 NC ( reportedly in Montgomery Co. NC ) left Montgomery Co. NC with 3 other families in ox drawn covered wagons about 1822 and moved into Carroll Co. TN with his wife and children. William Rogers died in Carroll Co. TN Feb. 1842 and buried in "Old Pisgah Methodist Cemetery" near Vale, TN in Carroll Co. TN along with his wife Nancy, and their son Basil Rogers b. 1794 NC and his wife Rebecca b. 1790. William Rogers b. 1770 NC has been said to be the son of James Rogers, Jr. and James Rogers, Jr. to be the son of James Rogers, SR. The area our Rogers lived was suppose to be in the area of Montgomery Co. NC in 1822 and is now considered to be in Stanly Co. NC. Any help with this line of Rogers would be appreciated. We have a lot of documented information on our Rogers once they moved into Carroll Co. TN, but need more information on them in Montgomery, or Stanly Co. NC before they left that region by 1822.
