Electric Pressure Cookers - Ultrex?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Thanks for the previous responses on using a pressure cooker on a smooth cooktop. I'm considering getting an electric pc now and think it may even come in handy to take along camping.

Does anyone have an electric pc? I found one on HSN.com that is made by Ultrex. It's stainless steel with a non-stick coating. Anyone have experience using an electric version?

Thanks again!

I recently bought a Weck canner, haven't had a chance to really use it yet except for pasturizing milk. I got another one, but recently sold that one. I know in the instructions it says you can "can" in it, it has an electric unit in the base, you set timer and temp and then forget it. Well... I don't, but it works great for pasturizing milk, need a smaller stock pot to put the milk in it though. I haven't heard of the brand you got. Do they by chance have a website? I think i can find the weck site if you're interested.
