My husband just purchased an old gravely and the person he bought it from gave him a book with the address which is: Gravely Corporation, Gravely Lane, Clemmons, North Carolina 27012. I hope this helps.

I have owned old gravelies and newer gravelies. The newer equipment needs an adapter to fit on old gravelys and the older equipment needs an adapter to fit newer walk behind Gravelies. I cant remember exact year when they changed. Be careful though as some of early Gravelies were only 5 horsepower although more torque than average modern 5 hp engine. Yours could have well been updated with newer cylinder/piston though. Last of the Studebaker engines were rated 7 or 7.5 HP which were about the equivalent of modern 9-10HP engines. The newest walkbehinds use 12-14 HP engines. Cant remember, may even offer a 16hp engine.

The current location of Gravely is Brillion Wisconsin and they are now owned by Airens corp. Theres a Yahoo discussion group for Gravely enthusiasts too.

A 50 inch mower is to big for that size Gravely. The mower you need is a 30" which you can use a double blade for lawn or heavy duty single blade for brush. I have used Gravely for almost 40 years. I have anywhere from old to 1994 model, both riding and the two wheel. My largest is a 18hp, w/hydraulics. I have lots of attachments and also points of contacts, of a couple of dealers that I highly recommend. Also did you know there was a backhoe for the type of tractor you have! I left one slip by me last weekend for $1250.00, if you know of any of these let me know.
