Does anyone know if there is a place to send raw wool to be washed, carded and spun?

There are lots of places which do that. For ads, go buy a copy of Spin Off magazine.

My personal favorite is Zeilinger Wool in Frankenmuth, Michigan: www.zwool.com

I take mine to Sardinia, Ohio to Ohio Valley Natural Fibers, they also accept you mailing it in but I like to watch! Look them up at www.ovnf.com for all the services they provide and the prices. When I go up I already have washed my fiber, instructions to do that are also on the net! Look 'em up! They're good people!

there is one here in North Dakota too. Depends on where you are at. She is right check fibrecraft magazines. If you don't find one listed for your general area try asking your extension agent. He should know people like that for the fact that they are doing a farm related business.

I worked for the Ohio Valley folk for a while. They're good people.
