HI I am going to chamonix mar 23 - 30 mar 02 i want to ice climb and snowshoe is this a good time to go as it is the only time i can get away?

chamonix in march? very good conditions for gully, ice climbing and great ice north faces. but of course a lot of snow and cold temperatures.
