Canada used-car market has soared in the last year, mainly due to the low Canadian dollar and the cheaper price of vehicles. U.S. dealers are buying Canadian used cars by the thousands as the price difference between cars in the two countries can be as much as four to eight thousand dollars. Dealers who take the vehicles south of the border then re-certify them to meet American emission standards and get the odometers changed from kilometres to miles.
