Tripod mount for Canon EF 75-300 IS USMgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread |
Looking for a tripod mount for this lens. Using the tripod mount on the camera body gives a small amount of movement.

Canon doesn't make one. Don't think anyone else does either.

This came up on the EOS list a little while ago. Actually, tripod mount for the 100-300 5.6L, but the same basic idea - what do you do for a lens that doesn't have a tripod mount?Someone mentioned that this firm sell custom mounts:

but nobody had any experience with their products. That's one approach, albeit an expensive one. I wonder if it'd be possible to slap something together homemade.

Maybe a Manfrotto 293?Or rest the camera + lens on a beanbag?
Cheers
