Hi people well i think the title says it all. Im looking for pen pals to chat to or write emails too. Basically im 18 years old male from the UK i live in the town and am going to university to study in a few month`s but im looking for like minded people, male or female, aged 16-24 years of age. With an interest in homesteading, as a way of life a dream or whatever and they can be from where ever i dont mind.

A bit about myself:

18 years old, slim, 6ft tall, brown hair and brown eyes, from the united kingdom (England). I am going to Study for 3 years at uni with a possibility of doing a further year at university to gain a teaching qualification. I then hope to earn enough in a few years to be able to emigrate to either the states, Canada, NZ or Australia. I hope to homestead and become self sufficient and i look forward to meeting people and friends who are like minded.

If parents or anyone (other than those that want to be pen pals) reads this, and u know of anyone that you may think would like to be a pen pal i would appreciate you putting them in contact with me.

My email address is ruskie@absolutevodka.fsnet.co.uk

All responses will be replyed to.

Thanks,

Yours sincerly Craig

Hey Craig! I'm 18, also tall (5'9", pretty tall for a girl) blond hair, blue eyes, yada yada yada. Going to college in 2 weeks (very excited!). Just came back from Alaska. It was so amazing there! I plan on moving up there after college. I'm very interested in homesteading and self-sufficiency in general. I'd love to know a like- minded guy (there aren't too many our age!). Elizabeth

Craig:

The U.S. is facing a shortage of teachers at all levels due to a number of baby-boomers (children born after WW-II) coming up for retirement. The average pay for a secondary (K-12) teacher is $41,724 for basically nine-months work. The hardest positions to fill are those in math, science, foreign languages and special education. School systems, colleges and universities are increasing having to seek teachers from foreign countries. I suspect to teach in the U.S. you might have to spend a year or so in additional training to learn U.S. teaching methods.

Elizabeth, go to google or yahoo.com and click on search, put your email address in, it then with very little work will show me every single post you have ever written on this forum or any other forum like this. That was with just one search engine, and their are many of them. Criag may be a wonderful person, he also may not be. Have you ever mentioned where you lived, just in passing, like oh my it is hot in Texas today. Now with just a mention of your school, or something equally benign, he knows your city. We think that with aol, hotmail, yahoo etc. email addys that we are all hidden, nothing is further than the truth, be very careful. Vicki
