default exposure settings on eos1v

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

I shot alot of film before I realized the focusing point was always the same, and hence the exposure settings I assume were also the same. I "turned" on the full 45 focusing points and I assume more extensive expsoure meterings. Is this the usual default from the factory, just one focusing point turned on? Thanks bob mintz

I don't own an EOS 1V, but both my EOS 3 and Elan 7E were set to the center AF sensor as the default when powered on for the first time. I prefer using a single AF sensor much of the time. It focuses faster and is more reliable in low light. It's also hard to stop my subsitute metering and lock-focus-recompose habits.
