I just confirmed your Arkanoid scores, and I must congratulate you to a flawless "sweep" (except for the Taito clone) great job!!

I will do my best to fight back, so you better upgrade your scores now QT! *joking* I have a better mouse now, so I might have a better chance now, but it will not be easy.

ps I saw that you didnīt like round 25 :=) well, it is the hardest stage in the game in my opinion.. Even with a spinner and the real arcade machine it can drain lives..so can round 26.

Thank-you for the confirmations, QRS. A good mouse certainly does help; I'm using a Microsoft Explorer ā la laser, but I wish I had a spinner--it's harder to screw up with a spinner when you're nervous or jittery.

As for Level 25...well, it's not like I'm close to completing the game yet. Level 6 still scares the hell out of me, and level 14 is probably my worst for some strange reason--that or 20 which I have no technique for (start left and move right? or can you get all the pinks at one go?)

Never was very good at Arkanoid in the arcade; would like to try it now. What's a good score by the time you're at Level 20 anyway?

I have Borrowed a Microsoft Wingman mouse right now, and I will probably buy one, cause I like it very much! I have not tried the Lazer-kind of mouses yet though.

Hmm stage 6 can be tricky because of the controlls when it goes fast.. I have no problems with stage 14, but it is easier if you can get a green capsule to get the bricks near the sides..

Stage 20 is a boring level, and it can be hard if you donīt get the grey bricks fast, cause it goes too fast after a while :=) with a spinner its easy, but with the mouse... blehh! :)

My best on Arkanoid (arcade) is about 1mil, and you get alot of points by "leeching" on the boss in the end. You need some spare men though :=)

A good score at stage 20? hmm ábout 400k is possible, I donīt remember exactly at stage 20.

But after watching your recording, I see that you are not so greedy at stages where I collect alot of points (arcade). BUT its not the same to play with a mouse and its so easy to die alot of men, cause you want to take som 1k-capsules instead :=)

Round 14,15,16 are good "capsile-leech" stages if my memory serves me well.

The stage I hate most except 25,26 are stage 12... the ball always seems to bounce back after I get it in that narrow passage.. it can destroy my whole gameplay :(

Anyway keep the good scores coming, and I will see if I can come near your scores.

Interesting way of getting points Hisa , but I think that it would take too long time to do it.. so long that I would be bored :=) and with a mouse it is hard as hell to even get to stage 26 :=)

And there is a WR for that game. Zack stole Steve Krogmans 1.4mil something and got 1.6 mil something.

Kale:the game ends at round 33 (or was it 34 I never remember that:)

Anyway itīs a boss in the end that requires 15 hits, and then its game over.

Finish the game is a performance. Your score isn't bad but the masters of Arkanoid made all over 1M with the leech trick in the boss stage. I knew a guy in my arcade who'd go to the final stage with his first life and spend all his lives (safe one) to the boss. His score was 1M2-1M4. And the world record is 1M6, over the double of yours...
