B-O-I-R-E-A-U spells bust

Michael Boireau will miss the entire 2001 season due to his eye condition. I don't know of anyone who thought this was a good pick when it was made, and although this is one of those "unfortunate" instances, it still doesn't excuse the wasting of yet another high pick on a "project" D-Lineman. I hope Boireau makes a miraculous recovery and goes on to great things with the Vikings, but as a Second Round pick he should have contributed more than ZIPPO to the Vikes fortunes in his first two seasons with the team. Let's hope Robbins can offset the negatives of Round 2 2000.

Also John Davis is out for at least a week, recovering from his Auto Accident. Carl Kidd and Lemanzer Williams have been placed on the PUP list recovering from old injuries.

Let's hope no one else gets hurt this preseason and that we can face Carolina fully loaded.

The key thing here is that most of these bust picks by Denny are so predictable in that they were virtually all REACHES (picked higher than projected
