Hello CanON Freaks!!!

I have a question. I use a Canon EOS 1V with the Battery Pack BP-E2 and i use normal Batteries, now i won´t to use NiMH 1700mAh Accus´s Does it work ?? Because the Battery had 1.5V 2000mAh and the Accu had 1.2V and 1700mAh.

Or does only the original Accupack (NiMH) work ?? (So expensive with the charger!!!) Please help me

Response to EOS 1V (BP-E2) with NiMH accu´s ????

I have been using the EOS3 with the BP-E2 and NIMH batteries (1550mah) and they have been working fine. I don't get anything like the published number of rolls from a set , but I don't get them with lithium batts either.

Response to EOS 1V (BP-E2) with NiMH accu´s ????

Dear Christian, I have both the 3 and the 1V and they work both fine with BP-E2 and Lithium batteries, no problems here. I had a few problems with battery run time with my 3, however I have found out, that with the Batterery pack, the 3 gains much more rolls out of each battery set than with the standard handgrip. I also switched once to the handgrip of the 1V (can be purchased separately) and found that battery enduracne is much longer also. I my case, it was a bit extreme, a lithium set (C2R5) lasted with the 300/4,0 IS only for 4-5 rolls, changing the handgrip it lasted for 20-25 rolls. I figure there is something wrong with the standard handgrip, as it is not very costly, switching to the 1V´s standard, might be considered a valuable option. Hope this helped. Cheers
