Significance

Reading the responses on the How Do You See God thread got me to thinking-more. Someone mention how beautiful the itsy bitsy flowers are on the weeds by the barn. I remember thinking, way back on my daily walks, that even the smallest stones cast a shadow. Oh awesome that was for me-being of a very insecure nature. What seemingly insignificant thing has touched you and had a significant impact on your life?

Remember: The closer we are to God the freer we are. God Bless

I know it will probably sound stupid, but i was walking downtown on a large city sidewalk one day when I happened to notice a place in the cement that was heaved up with clumps of grass growing in between and realized that Nature will always reclaim over the facade man has erected. I looked around and put it into a larger perspective and was truly blown away by the magnitude and significance of that insight. Whatever we have created merely pales in significance to Nature.

If you think you sound stupid, I guess we'll sound stupid together. I had practically the same insight after noticing a spot of rust on a car I was working on. The futility of man's struggle against God's creation, the overwhelming power in even the littlest things and the fact that earthly 'treasures' are temporary, Heavenly treasures are the only permanent ones.
