Christian Site

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread

Here's a site that is certainly upholding it's name. It is quite a tough line Christian site. No fooling around, nor mincing of words. If you like such a thing they have a newsletter that is worth subscribing to...at least I think so! Very interesting news this time. Check it out and let me know what you think! And God bless all of you! Sorry I can't remember how to hotlink right this second...

Saw it, read it and did not like it. I personally never approve of any "Christian" material that goes wayyyyyy out of its' way to knock other Christian religions..can't see Jesus approving..there are too many unbelievers out there to spend so much effort yelling "My church is the only one and everybody else is going to hell".

Lesley, are you talking about the newsletter or the site in general? I didn't see where it said 'everyone else is going to hell", maybe because I really only read the newsletters. Thanks for your opinion though, it holds weight with me!

Perhaps I should have just posted this newsletter as that's what I wanted to talk about anyway. I don't know how I even got these coming to me, but I have had two so far and this is the second one. They were both quite good. I found it interesting and thought provoking. For the record and all people who might lurk here, the ONE thing that irks me more than grasshoppers, the government and the IRS combined,is rascism. I abhor it, am shocked when I encounter it, think it is despicable and just about want to puke over it. Skin color and ethnicity have absolutely zero to do with the quality and character of an individual. Recently on a radio station I reccommended there was a "preacher" who I hadn't listened to previously and he was spouting all manner of white supremist garbage. I think I will have to be much more thourough in examining things before I recommend them, or only recommend an aspect....Now that that is out of the way, here's the article I was talking about: ONE-WORLD RELIGION ABOUT TO BE ESTABLISHED IN JERUSALEM!

Now that the Bush Administration has suddenly reversed long-standing American policy regarding placing international observers in Israel, we may be moving into Stage #3 of the 5-Stage plan to re-order Jerusalem religiously so as to produce Antichrist. [New Jerusalem Covenant Project Plan], reported in NEWS1052.

As we have earlier reported, Stage #1 has already occurred, in early September, of last year Read full details in NEWS1395.cfm. Further, Stage #2 has been occurring since September 29, 2000, as we have reported in many articles concerning the terrible increase in violence between Palestinian and Israeli -- violence that has been met with "remarkable restraint" by the Israelis. Now, we understand that this "remarkable restraint" has been for the sole purpose of providing the "general fear of war" felt necessary to produce the political and religious pressure to produce the changes in Jerusalem so False Prophet and Antichrist can arise.

Now, we see that Bush has suddenly authorized the placement of international troops inside Israel, thus beginning Stage #3. Stage #4 -- False Prophet and his global religion --and Stage #5 -- Antichrist appearing -- are soon to follow.

Read al about this incredibly important turn of events in our latest Headline News article, NEWS1519, accessible from our Home Page at www.cuttingedge.org . Start looking up, for our Redeemer draweth nigh!

I just gave the Cutting Edge Ministries site a cursory overview. I can't say as i disagree with very much of what they present there. I think their docrtinal statement is right on. However, the tone of the site bothers me. I can't see how it will go very far in reaching the lost in America. The U.S. is gripped with the New Age Movement and people don't like to be told they are sinners in a condemning manner. Most Americans are very skeptical of the gospel when presented in a "crammed down their throat" manner. The best evangelism today in America comes out of relationships. The title of one tape bothered me: "America Determines the Flow of History" That title by itself completely misses the point of all biblical history which bears out that Isreal and the Body of Christ are the vehicles of God's purpose in all of history. America has had a significant part in the growth the Body of Christ and world wide evangelism during the past 300 years, but I find their outlook narrow minded.

I'm sure this site is well intentioned and contains mostly truth, but if I were a non-believer, it would be a real turn-off for me.

on the site, look at the tab which says "What Rome Says"..that's what i mean. I have no quibble with the thought processes regarding the newsletter itself, but I abhor attacks on other Christians....God bless.
