Hi everybody, and thank's for your help. I have an eos 300 whith a normal 20-80 lens. I wan't to buy now a 70-200 or 300 but i don't have money to an original canon lens. So, i don't know what to buy: Tamron af 80-210 F/4.5-5.6, Tamron af 70-300 F/4-5.6, Sigma 70-210 f/4-5.6 UC-II, Sigma 100-300 f/4.5-6.7 DL or some Voigtlander. In Portugal, Sigma lenses are more expensive than Tamron or Voigtlander.

I don't know what sort of quality any of those lenses have, but they can't be that much cheaper than the Canon 75-300 lenses. If I'm interpreting your email address correctly, you are in Portugal. While I don't know what the equipment market is like there, I will say that in the U.S. B&H sells the grey market version of the Canon 75-300 USM for about the same price as the Tamron 70-300, about $180. If you can't find a similar deal where you are, you could order from them, but of course I don't know what sort of import duties you would face. Any, as long as you aren't looking for an L series Canon, the 75-300 Canons shouldn't be much more than what you are looking at. The fact that prices have come way down on the Canon 100-300 f5.6L may make you want to try to spend a little more for optical quality though. Keep in mind that all of Canon's XX-300 zooms focus relatively slow except for the 100-300 USM. On the other hand, I don't think any of the Sigma or Tamron lenses are any faster.

i know nothing about those lenses. i would say save up for canon...however if those are the choices, at a glance i say the sigma or the second tamron for the half stop on the short end.
