Sweet Corn

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I planted some sweet corn in my garden, a few weeks ago, and it is about 1 foot tall, and last night it was windy. I noticed that my corn has fallen limp, in the direction that the wind was blowing. How can I get it to stand up strait again, is this normal?

We find it helps to plant corn in the trenches, and pull dirt around the base of the stalk as the plants grow. When my corn has blown over with a storm, the sun usually stands it back up the next day without intervention.

Go to what are really the archives but are called older messages here (below the active threads), go to "Gardening - General", find the thread called "Wind and Corn don't mix! Any answers?".
