Gee that's funny usually the cookie's get my name right......

-- Barb e. (Suesuebeo9@cs.com), July 19, 2001.

IMO, nope, I don't think she's gay. I think she could possibly be bi but definitely not gay. But that's just my opinion. -Krista

-- Krista (thrillkillkountess@yahoo.com), July 19, 2001.

I think Aeon would abhor being classified in any way.

-- steve (steppenwolf@breathe.com), July 19, 2001.

What a stupid question Barb

-- Quintin (quintin6@aol.com), July 19, 2001.

mrow, retract those claws quentin, geez. I'd agree with the bi thing. I think she'd probablt see sex as superfluous to her life, just an added accessory that she really doesn't need or want. (just like a whole bunch of material possessions - hence, why her apartment is so barren)

-- pixi (pixiness@yahoo.com), July 19, 2001.

Well, "Quintin", I'm surprised you think it's a stupid question, considering you're the one who posted it.

-- Starscream (sstarscream@chaosknight.com), July 19, 2001.

I agree with Quintin but he certainly didn't post it.

-- nick. (trnqt666@aol.com), July 19, 2001.

Thanks for the sharp eyes, Starscream. No I didn't post it, and why would I? Aeon spends enough time under the sheets with Trevor to let us know her sexual preferences. In the future please have the courage to place your 'mark' under such statements inflicted upon us...otherwise we shall believe you to be...how you say?....chicken...

-- Barb e. (Suesuebeo9@cs.com), July 19, 2001.

oh. i get now. who's Quintin then?

-- nick. (trnqt666@aol.com), July 20, 2001.

jeez, I make one eeny little opinion and the flames come on. i just thought and still think it's a stupid question Barb, because it indeed seems "superfluous" to Aeon's life, so any hazardous guesses at her sexuality would just be childish, playground speculation. i apologise if I was a bit short with my statement, but come on Barb, do you really want to know if Aeon is gay or not, or do you just have time on your hands?

-- Quintin (quintin6@aol.com), July 20, 2001.

A LOT of impersonation on this board. Hey, I've been here almost as long as Barb has; can I get a double too? :-)

-- Inukko (nadisrec@worldnet.att.net), July 20, 2001.

It is entirely possible that Aeon is indeed harboring feelings of attraction to the same sex. She has on occasion toyed with members of the same sex, pausing briefly to indulge her reckless abandon with them, ie. toying with Una's emotions. I suspect she also had an eye one her own personal copy, as well. We have all seen her languishing by the pool nude and lusting after her fragile but sensuous female 'beauty',...remember the kiss she gave her own lips...in her own words "lovely". For this we recognize she is a complex individual with depth of character and mystery. Her sexuality is that of the worlds first "Alpha" female. Her appetites are large and eventually capture the wonton glance of the Alpha male Trevor, who hopes to make this female realize it is he who is is without equal. We see that Aeon seems to have an ever attentive vigil towards Trevor's attentions and enjoys the chase, "You're sooo charming Trevor"...perhaps she is Bisexual? I hope that answers my question..!...I mean YOUR question of course, gulp!...Barb e, or whoever started this odd little bypass.

-- Inyouko (nadar'swreck@worldnet.attn.net), July 21, 2001.

"Whoever started it"... don't forget we have an all-seeing administrator here. Mess around while the cat's away, but be careful, he just might get his claws on your post ^_^

-- Quentin (nadisrec@worldnet.att.net), July 21, 2001.

Not that I have a problem with Aeon being bi... if there's one thing years of anime have taught me, it's that flirting with an androgynous alien (End Sinister) does not a straight character make ^_^

-- Inukko (nadisrec@worldnet.att.net), July 21, 2001.

She was all ready to go with the alien until she had to play with her eyeball! Too old fashioned. Trevor will play with his balls for anyone, (female that is). Bisexual in this group is passe...

-- Barb e. (Suesuebeo9@cs.com), July 21, 2001.

I knew I shouldn't have done it. Ever since I posed as Inukko's double I have this unexplained craving to watch anime while snacking on sugar cubes...

-- Barb e. (Suesuebeo9@cs.com), July 22, 2001.

Sugar cubes? I don't get it, Quintin. Not sure I want to, either.

-- Inukko (nadisrec@worldnet.att.net), July 23, 2001.

she is a charecter intentionaly created to be alureing to both sexes I think that she is obviousely bi, but she uses her allure as a wepon more like a spie, deep down she has feelings for trevor but i think sex in general is enjoyed and used as a power through the series with out gender becomeing a relevant factor

-- pixie (pixieminx@priest.com), July 29, 2001.

Two Pixies - One with an e at the end, one without. Hope this doesn't get confusing. Nice to meet you though pixie.

-- pixi (pixiness@yahoo.com), July 30, 2001.

SHE IS BI. SHE LOVES ANY AND ALL CREATURES. SHE'LL BANG ANYTHING ON 4 LEGS. SHE IS THE MOST COSMIC AND ORGASMIC ANIMATED CARBON LIFE FORM AROUND. I LOVE HER WITH ALL MY HART...

-- dna pool (pop123@aol.com), August 04, 2001.

You mean "anything on TWO legs"... at least, I hope you do.

-- Inukko (nadisrec@worldnet.att.net), August 04, 2001.

You know I often thought of cloning myself and making out with me, but would that make me gay? Uh lets see well technically its me but, uhh...? Never mind no she ain't gay, a little playful but not gay she and trev have it pretty regular and well... oh but wait that female breen soldier in the first long ep has a key...

-- mark (nadar@BigPoppaPump.zzn.com), August 04, 2001.

I don't think it'd make you gay if you cloned and made out with yourself as long as you did it under the guise of getting more in touch with your feminine side :)

-- pixi (pixiness@yahoo.com), August 06, 2001.

I don't believe Aeon would bother picking a label to fall under... she's far too busy with other matters. I suppose, then, you could call her bisexual.

And, yes, making out with your clone does make you gay (as well as one hell of a narcissist). :) Now, would making out with your exact duplicate (a la "A Last Time for Everything) be considered masturbation? Hmm...

-- Mat Rebholz (loquat@csranet.com), August 06, 2001.

She's Bi in my world like any normal spunky chic is. Now the question is, where do I find a chic with legs like that?

-- bruce dawson (jbsonic@hotmail.com), August 22, 2001.

Aeon is clearly bi and a whole lot more. Contrary to what Pixi (without an "e") thinks, I don't think Aeon would not view sex as being superfluous and something she does not want. My God look at her. She is the physical manifestation of eroticism itself. Not only does she get it whenever she can from whomever she can, but she even does porn. (Remember the first episodes where she poses in the foot fetish magazine). No, Aeon clearly enjoys her body and enjoys it when others enjoy her body. In fact I think her libido is a huge part of her personality and one of her major motivating factors (as it is with us all). It was ironic in the episode with the custodians that she was fighting so hard for control over herself when she is never really in control of herself. As her name would suggest she is in constant flux both with the world and with herself. We see this a lot. She has a vicious and a tender side. One of my favorite scenes is when she is about to hook Onan's nipples up to a car battery. She is punishing him for the way he treated Sybil, but she clearly gets off on it too. Face it, Aeon is a turbo-charged sex machine running on energizer batteries.

-- Logo (Vosepherus@aol.com), August 24, 2001.

I think she has no sex because when they ask her "in what side she is" Aeon answer "in no one" and for me that means she is beyond a known sex (omnisexual)

-- lucia avila (aeonflux_ar@yahoo.com), October 10, 2001.

If you think that Aeon is gay because she kissed her clon maybe you are wrong. That image only try to show (in my opinion) the incredible ego that Aeon has. When she kissed herself, that was a kiss without libido, that was a beatiful kiss that made us realise Aeon is going to die and her clon (= Aeon out of MTV) is going to take part. And I still think Aeon is omnisexual.

-- lucia avila (aeonflux_ar@yahoo.com), October 14, 2001.

*considers breaking out the hose*

Incidentally, remember that one of Aeon's jobs is punishing men.

-- Frostbite (krooks@agnesscott.edu), October 14, 2001.

Not that it answers the question, but Aeon did certainly seem to enjoy it when that girl's hair brushed across her face in the elevator during "Tide". She let out this very aroused gasp that definitely makes you wonder. :)

-- Frantic (frantic@attbi.com), August 19, 2002.

Whoa! This thread was fun to read. Hmm how about polysexual.

I recently aquired an impersonator, a malicious one.

-- Sam (janecherrington@paradise.net.nz), August 20, 2002.

She definitely isn't not ungay.

-- Leee (red_halcyon@hotmail.com), August 26, 2002.

*scans over various unintelligible answers in this thread* O_o

If anything, Ĉon's proven herself to be rather stridently bisexual, and fairly open-minded in terms of sex. Then again, that's a basic extension of her personality into her strong libido: as an individual she refuses to let social and personal definitions restrict or contain her, and as such is unhesitant about straddling moral, cultural and political boundaries. The irony of this is that, as Robert Anton Wilson would put it, her personality is STRICTLY neophilic instead of neophobic; as a very libertarian person, she unflinchingly approaches and embraces the bizarre, the eccentric, and the unknown, and refuses to let any force restrain her. Thus, as open as she is to everything else, she is very phobic and unaccepting of any kind of control or barriers over her, which very rigidly defines her as a Monican personality instead of a Breen, and is in fact the most binding and restrictive aspect of her personality. She's perfectly willing to exercise dominion over others, obviously, but cannot at all tolerate not being in a position of control over herself.

This is part of why the relationship between Ĉon and Trevor is so passionate yet conflicting: both parties are very dominant and strong- willed in their personalities, and while they utterly relish those traits in one another they simultaneously MUST attempt to gain that position of true control and dominance. One or the other may feign being submissive or accepting of the other's will, but all these actions have shown themselves to be ingenuine and designed to work for the character's own good. It's part game, part relationship and part deadly struggle, with both parties experiencing very strong and genuine feelings while being unable to defer or submit in any form.

So again, I believe Ĉon is stridently bisexual with a strong and experimental libido, but with a "block" against being controlled even by the one she loves. Her open-minded aspect allows her to view even androgynous "alien" creatures as emotional and sexual beings, yet the idea of not having control drives her batty.
