Squash Question (Leaves Turning Yellow)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Hi there fellow Countrysiders; We had beautiful yellow squash for about six weeks and then it started turning yellow on the foliage. There are still new blooms daily, and the squash are forming nicely, we want to know what can be done about the yellowing, if anything. The posting about interplanting the squash with sweet potatoes is a good one, we tried it this year and the squash bugs have been kept to a minimum. Well that about sums it up for us, looking forward to your INFORMED answers.

Yellow leaves are a sign of mineral deficincy, add a full spectrum fertilizer and wet it in.

If your squash have been producing for six weeks, they may be starting to play out. Plant some more seed now, and you'll see squash by the end of August.
