Population Growth Rates

A general trend seems to be that the poorest countries have the highest growth rates and the wealthiest countries have the lowest. The only poor countries that have low growth rates are China, Cuba and former Soviet block states.

I assume that this table includes growth due to immigration as well as growth due to births. I mean, are there births in the Holy See?

Hmmmm

Pop growth of Norway = .40%

Pop growth of Sierra Leone = 4.34%

Yet, in this thread we learn that the UN has declared Norway to be the best place to live and Sierra Leone to be the worst.

Apparently the Norwegians don't appreciate their blessings and the Sierra Leonians don't appreciate their misery.
