Well the chart didn't copy like it would have on Outlook Express. In any case Argentina certainly isn't a world power but its neighbor is Brazil and the Argentina's economic waves are crashing on Brazils doorstep which is making for a very unhealthy economic environment for South America.

Can you say, "global recession"?

And vice versa. Brazil's massive energy shortage, which has cut industrial production 15%, ain't helping Argentina either.

Still another consideration is that Argentina now has this rare wheat disease (a major world export), and has been touched by hoof and mouth disease (their beef being another major world export).

Combine this with Brazil's troubles and the economic outlook for South America is highly suspect.

New York's money center banks must really be sweating about now. They are stuck, up to their eye teeth, in Brazil's economy, and, to a lessor extent, Argentina's. Woe be unto Latin Americans of all ilks.
