Where can I find design plans for building a deco home?

I would suggest that it is much easier to find an architect/interior designer who knows style and is creative.

I have found some lovely pictures and plans in book at the library under "Art Deco" and by also getting books on well know Deco architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright and his students.

Also visiting some of the well know publlic buildings that are Deco has given me ideas of how to re-decorate my 1931 Deco surburban home in Hobart, Australia.

I had an "art deco" house built in 1997. I had a local architect familiar with the time period draw plans based on my designs. It is considered "international style" using stucco and glass block. The interior is contemporary. Most architects will charge 20% of the estimated cost of construction. By shopping around and negotiating, I found an architect to do the plans for about 2%.
