On our evening news tonite it was said all finacial and credit services were required to notify members of the applicab;e privacy policies by July 1. However, you can notify them at any time to remove your information from their trading lists.

Thanks to some "Gram?? Blisely Act" a very strange name, approved by our wonderful Congress, these privacy notices are requiring entities such as insurance companies, brokers, tax preparers, banks, credit cards, etc., pretty much any company that you have given information to. I work for an attorney and we even have to send all of our clients one of these stupid privacy notices. Gee, I though any information you give to an attorney is attorney-client information and is to be considered confidential anyway, duh. Anyway, even though some of them are small print, you may want to glance for a section that says they cannot share your information at any time. Of course, you would have to write them a letter requesting this but the privacy notice explains how to do that. You should only be recieving these from entities that you do business with. And, these are flooding our mail boxes now because it just went into effect recently and the notices are required to be sent by July 1, 2001. But hey, at least you get mail!
