Can someone explain step-by-step how to "hill up" potatoes? My plants are healthy and vigorous and about knee high. Do I pile dirt right up over the leaves on the lower stem? How high do I go? Thanks.

Answers

I usually hill mine as they grow. When they are about 6" I throw a little dirt on them. Then again when they are about 18". It's important to also keep the ground soft around them.
