My grandmother just gave me a painting by Pla Domenech. However, I cannot find any information on this artist. The painting is titled "La Familia" and was painted in Barcelona. If you know anything about the painting or Domenech, please respond. Thank you :)

I too have been looking for information on Pla Domenech. The only thing I have found so far is that he was born in Spain in 1917 and is considered a contemporary artist. I have a painting by him called "La Figura de la Paz". It is lovely and I cherish it. Good luck in your continued search.

I recently purchased my second litho by Pla Domenech. Both lithos were authenticated by The Collectors Guild, Ltd, in New York. The following information came with the lithos: He was born in 1917 in Barcelona and attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona and several independent art schools. He has exhibited at the Municipal Museum of Mataro, the Galeria Grife & Escoda in Barcelona and Majorca, and at the Santander museum in Rome and Venice. He represented Spain at the New York Worlds Fair in 1960 and 1961, as well as an exhibition in Chicago in 1961. His works appear in collections in New York, London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, and Barcelona, but no information on specific museums, etc., is provided.

I too am enamored of his work. If you have more information about Domenech, please post it.

I am from Barcelona, I live in the same neighbourhood where Pla i Domenech had his studio, in Verdi Street. My father, knew him since he was a child. Pla gave him a painting before he died in 1997. It is called "Maternitat musical" (musical motherhood) and it is really beautiful. Besides it has an special worth for us, since my father and all the family knew the painter.
