A feral cat is a cat that has gone wild due to either being dumped/abused. In the neighborhood where I used to live, there was a beautiful persian cat that wanted to belong to someone, but when I tried to pet it, tore me up so bad that I had to go to the er for treatment. This cat had been abused & then abandoned. As much as I love cats, I had to start running this cat off from my home, as it started attacking us when we were out in the yard, porch, & even my indoor cats through the screens.
