I garden, raise chickens and goats, have raised rabbits(until we decided we really didn't care for rabbit meat. No, it DOES NOT taste like chicken!IMHO) I'm trained as a veterinary technician, although I am retired, and I work part-time at a garden center. For recreation, I do most of the above, read books on the above, along with mysteries. I'm not nearly as knowledgable as some of the others in areas like goats, but I've been doing it for a long time. I can also be pretty darned frugal when needed, so I guess I also qualify as a tightwad.

Well, we've raised chickens for a few years now and have alot of gardening experience. Hubby is a really good gun expert and not only knows his guns but is a good gunsmith as well. He is just a wealth of knowledge on this subject!

I'm a Jill of all trades, master of none of them.

I do come from several generations of agricultural families and have picked the hornworms off the tomatoes as long as I can remember. We've always been pretty much organic farmers because chemicals always cost too much. I have my lifetime of experience to draw on and the wisdom of my elders on homesteading.

Not sure if I feel comfortable calling it expertise, but here goes. Goats! ( But I know very little about goat ilnesses, mainly because mine get sick so infrequently. I do know more than I care to about difficult birthings.) Dam raising and taming wild( or just shy) goats, A.I., gardening, quilting, ducks, soapmaking,and cooking.

Isnt it a rule that as soon as someone claims to be an expert at something that someone has to try and knock them down a peg?:)

As a "non-expert" I would be happy to field questions and engage in discussions related to the following items. In no particular order: ducks, geese, chickens, rare breeds of animals, Constitutional/political theory, computers, weaponry (melee to firearms to futuristic/blackops), permaculture (this is a broad gardening/livestock subject, no?), earth sheltered construction, paleoanthropology, primitive skills ("survivalist"), cryptozoology, "conspiracies" and history, wildlife and habitats of the northern tier, recipes for said wildlife, food storage, and of course beer.

Im sure theres other stuff lurking around the edges of this noggin...
