JOBO and FB paper update

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Large format photography : One Thread

Brief update. Ilford MG IV double weight FB 8x10 paper also works fine in the JOBO 2800 series drums. Prints are a bit wobbly when taken out, but there are no permanent impressions or marks. I press all my prints in a dry mount press to make them absolutely flat. Previous posts were that Kodak polymax fine art FB DW paper also works.

Many have asked me to post my results as I go. Eventually I will try the larger sizes (11x14 and 16x20) in the larger 2800 series tanks and report my experiences...

Crikey Scott, you must have time on your hands to bother loading a drum with B&W paper. Chuck 'em in a dish and stop farting about!

Scott, See my posting to David Haardt's question above. You should have no trouble with 11x14 and 16x20 DWFB in the #2850 drum. I've been doing those sizes (as well as 5x7 and 8x10 singly and in multiples) with Ilford MGIII and MGIV FB for six years with fine results. Regards, Dick
