I wonder if this anon is really with the staff there, or whether it's someone else trying to stir up conflict between Unk's and this new TB2K.

-- Gotta (wonder@about.that), June 17, 2001.

Don't read it that much, but as far as I can see it is the all Abby and Paul show, all of the time. I don't think that real spammers have a chance there *<)))

Best Wishes,,,,

Um, the only one SPAMMING the TB2K forum is Paul Milne with his endless harassment of anyone who doesn't believe there should be an immediate revolt against the government. Ironically enough, he is also the only one who is in danger of getting censored there due to his constant insults to forum regulars like Lynnie, whom he recently told to go bake some cookies and make yourself useful. It sounds like this person isn't even a regular at TB2K, since he doesn't even realize this.

-- (see@for.yourself), June 17, 2001.

Damn,I thought we did them in last weekend.

-- capnfun (capnfun1@excite.com), June 17, 2001.

Hey! Anything with the word "Unk" in it ROCKS!

You got that?

;)

-- (you@know.it), June 17, 2001.

"youmoron", you seem to be a bit confused. Dennis Olson (of The Even-More-New-and-Improved-Yet-Again TB2K, yes?) started a thread over HERE to let us all know that he had told his "forumites" not to spam THIS (Unk's) forum. You see, we've had this little spam/bullshit thread/personal-attacks-of-forum-regulars problem of late. Funny; it seems to have coincided EXACTLY with the demise of EZBoard.

Quite the coincidence, don't you think? Yes, I thought so too. But I digress.

As someone accurately pointed out, the only one who appears to be spamming YOUR forum is one Paul "Christian Extraordinaire" Milne, Forum Regular. Perhaps you should direct your displeasure in THAT direction.

Patricia, life is too short to waste it loading EZ pages. This too shall pass. Don't look, Ethel.

"Don't look, Ethel !!!"

LOL Helen,that cracks me up.

Truer words were never spoken, Helen :-)

"Why cant this forum stop spamming TB2K "

In order to stop spamming, I will need to start. My schedule is rather busy this week, so I don't think I can start spamming TB2K until next week at the earliest.

I'm sorry. You'll just have to be patient. I will stop as soon as I can.

-- Little Nipper (canis@minor.net), June 18, 2001.

It looks like Paul won't be spamming there for a few days as he's just been banned for a week.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

-- (see@for.yourself), June 18, 2001.

WOW! Why do I get the feeling that Lynda Milne and Invar are one and the same?

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeed@yahoo.com), June 18, 2001.

Unk, only time will tell if an unmoderated forum will work, but banning never set well with me. Thanks for this board.

-- helen (no@not.mine), June 18, 2001.

helen my dear, I did it all for you!

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeed@yahoo.com), June 18, 2001.

-- helen :) (not@mine.nope), June 18, 2001.

Makes sense, Unk.

When I was an undergrad, my roommate had an obnoxious friend who was really fun for the first couple of hours he was at a party, but after one or two in the morning, when the party was winding down and people were getting mellow, he used to get a second wind and do some pretty ridiculous stuff to get everyone wound up again. Like Milne, he was good in small doses, but a bit much to take after a while. After awhile, we stopped inviting him to our parties.

Milne is not mentally healthy...I don't see what his minions see in him. The guy is the next Jim Jones....

-- Uncle Bob (unclb0b@aol.com), June 18, 2001.

Spoken like the true spawn of the devil, U.B. ;-)

-- (PatriciaS@lasvegas.com), June 18, 2001.

Poor Dennis has been having fits. He personally invited Milne to his forum, remembering how wonderfully accurate and useful Milne's understanding of y2k was, but somehow forgetting Milne's polite respect for varying opinion.

And while track record seems to be a concept totally beyond some of the TB2K posters, on others the mindset to get y2k 100% dead wrong in every detail is very slowly dawning. Why, it appears Milne does not actually debate, explain, analyze, or otherwise understand anything. He simply declaims, abusively and with earplugs and mindplug fully deployed.

The high point was when the administrators told him to turn down the baiting and attacking, and he turned on THEM and accused them of trying to silence the TRUTH ITSELF!

In defense of that forum, I will say that a surprising number of people chimed in to complain that, opinion notwithstanding, the rules were clearly being violated. The rules said "no abuse", not "no athiests", and some people actually thought the rules meant what they said. Quite remarkable, all in all. With only one exception, though, the administrators decided to blame me for being Milne's target. How DARE I "cause" so much grief?!

Now, wanna place bets on Milne's ability to learn? I simply cannot imagine it getting through to him that rules meant for everyone might also apply to him. There is already talk of changing the rules to grant him an exception. Ah, the more things change...

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), June 18, 2001.

I understand your feelings, Flint, and I, too, have lurked more at TB2000 lately, simply because there's a poster HERE who can't act like an adult on an adult forum. I don't expect to see shit on a daily basis about Cherri is THIS, Cherri is THAT. The original beef with Cherri got lost in all the rancor posted about her since. The same thing happened with you and Paul. FIRST, he objected to what he saw as your agreeing with tyrants [which meant you were one yourself.] THEN, he moved on to your religious beliefs [or lack of beliefs]. If that one doesn't hold water, he'll just move on to something else, attacking anyone who asks him to rein in his rhetoric along the way.

He's a true believer. There's no discourse possible with such folks. They know what they know because they know what they know. Heh. He reminds me of Charlie. One doesn't DARE suggest that there might be another side [or even a middle ground] without suffering the acid tongue revenge.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), June 18, 2001.

Anita:

I think I adopted the correct tactic of remaining as polite as my online persona permits, and sticking strictly to the issues raised without mentioning any names or attacking anyone. The resulting contrast in styles got through to Dennis, and even penetrated several members of that forum.

The alacrity with which the majority are willing to abandon their own principles is kind of amusing. Ideology rules, and being polite is of primary importance ONLY among those who disagree with you. THEY better behave. Outrageously bad behavior by someone you agree with, though? Well, if you don't like it, you can always skip those threads...I just can't for the life of me see any problem here...

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), June 18, 2001.

A Flame for Flint...

Anybody else want one?

-- Uncle Bob (unclb0b@aol.com), June 18, 2001.

Flames? {perk}

-- (cin@cin.cin), June 18, 2001.

Unk and Helen...get a room will ya

-- (puh@lea.se), June 18, 2001.

Uncle Bob:

Thanks, but it turns out Paul has simply started using his wife Lynda's alias to carry on without any real pause, and certainly no change of approach. He's even using this alias to call others liars! Man, no wonder he lives 25 miles from any human company!

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), June 18, 2001.

Flint...

I just added my 2 cents to the Mrs. Milne post at TB2K...the guy is out of control. What a role model for the little TB2K'ers...

BTW the flame was satire (I'm sure you knew that)...

-- Uncle Bob (unclb0b@aol.com), June 18, 2001.

Satire? I just thought it was pretty...

-- Flint (flintc@mindspring.com), June 18, 2001.

Wow. Wading through that board makes you feel like you just stumbled out of the jungle into Jonestown, just as the kool-aid is being mixed.

How come that Invar character has quotes from two "evil" Star Wars characters as his sig, anyway?

-- Bemused (and_amazed@you.people), June 18, 2001.

So the sysops are deleting posts. Warning posters. Banning posters. Posters are choosing sides. Bad move. Is not! Is too! And some posters want Donker outed. Are these the same people who were criticizing previous sysops of the old TB2K for very similar actions? Which "old" Tb2K? Hell, ALL of them, I lost count.
