Playing cdi and vcd

I have several cdi'd and im going to buy a vcd player. can I play cdi on it? is there any way to play cdi's on my computer? thanks

You can play cdi videos on a PC using Windows Media Player, however before you can read CDI disks on your PC you will need to install a free program (available on the internet) called "CDI Filesystem driver 2.0" just install the above driver and you can now read CDI disks in your PC cd-rom drive. ashley irons

great to find an answer to this .. except. I don't have a cd .. just a file with the extension .cdi and the page with the drivers you mentioned says they aren't for XP ? :(

any more possibilities? I tried to play in WMP but alas.. no go
