MPEG-1

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have two VCD disks, and WAV editor. I can use WAV to editing one of the VCDs, but not for the other one. I found the one working fine is MPEG-1 V.1 format, and the other is V.2 format. Is anyone can help me to edit the disk with MPEG-1 V.2 format ? Thanks a lot.

The free program TMPGenc (www.tmpgenc.com) can edit MPEG-1 video, but it's REALLY slow and difficult to use. If you go to www.womble.com and download a trial copy of the MPG2VCR editor, it can edit MPEG-1 video with no restrictions. The full product costs $249 for a frame accurate MPEG-2 editor. I think they also make a cheap MPEG-1 editor, but since MPG2VCR seems to work fine in demo mode on MPEG-1 video, I don't know why you'd want to buy it. members.home.net/richa talks about another product that can edit MPEG-1 video, but I don't remember what it is.
