What age do Charlais steers really begin to fill out and get beefy?

What age do Charlais steers begin to fill out and get beefy? I understand that different breeds fill out at different times. This is our first time at raising a Charlais for our beef. We usually harvest about 15 months of age, and he seems to be a bit behind schedule for us. Thanks!

Researchers have found a much variation in growth rates within a breeds as between breeds. He'll be ready when he is ready, which might take 18 or more months.

I agree with Ken and would like to add that generally the larger breeds like these take a little longer than ones like Hereford and Angus.
