For all of you folks in a drought, read this!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unk's Wild Wild West : One Thread

Well, I just got back from time in Oregon, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The yard is getting out of hand. It has been too wet. My little weather station says we have had 15.75 in of rain in the last two weeks [pretty good when the average annual rainfall is 38 in]. Of course it could be wrong since it runs on Windows *<)))

Too wet to mow but the lawn now hides wolves. I tried. My lawn mower is a 3 cyl dies. and weighs 1500 lbs. Yep, I stuck it. Even locking the dif. won't get it out. I could get out the big 4x4 tractor and pull it out, but that would really crap-out the lawn; and I must leave tomorrow. If it dries out in the next few days the wife can rescue it.

So it goes.

Best Wishes,,,,,

Cin:

Let me guess. You live in the city and everything around you is paved. Cool. My front yard is 5 ac. Those springs are a bitch. They keep bleeding water all of the time.

Different strokes for different folks; or so it seems. You can't put life in a box and pull out the parts that fit your needs.

By-the-by:

In my recent travels I found this place that none seem to know about. Great mountains, clear streams, a city nearby and very low cost of living.

Land you ask; How about 140 ac, 70 in mature forest, a 20 ac fully stocked pond and the rest in improved pasture. Go to two year round springs that feed the pond and the stream on the property. You know trout and all of that stuff. Full Utilities available. Mountain views on three sides.

How about $98,000. Where is this. Not going to tell you. We keep our secrets.

….and all of the folks that live around there were extras in the movie ‘Deliverance’.

Bend:

Nope, I think that all of those extras came from LA. But I don't have time to play now. I have to pack.

When I was in high school, like you, I had time for this stuff. Now, I have more important things to do.

Z - I'm going to follow you to your dream property and buy it before you can! LOL!

Z,

I live in the area of C.O. you are referring to. Don't even think about moving here, we kill assholes like you for sport.

I don't know, Z, it's a close race between the wasteland of high school and the barren landscape of academia.

Z is there a house on all that land?

Sounds like heaven to me =)

For that price? Are you kidding?

No Cin, no house. There's plenty of room to park your trailer though.

Sounds like Z's head could covers most of those 140 acres.

Cin and a trailer, LOL. Of course you already know that I didn't post that. These children.

Actually, I am flying to Asia today [in a plane, of course]. Anything posted by me is not me for some time.
