Does anyone here know how to contact... (Country Music Singers)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

Does anyone here know how I can contact Travis Tritt and Alan Jackson direct. A close friend of mine is a songwriter (BMI registered) His brother made all the contacts for him in the past. Now his brother has passed on.

If your an old timer you may remember "Stolen Moments" by Jim Arp. Mr. Arp has been my friend for over 30 years. I can't think of a nicer more honest person on this planet.

I've always been told ask 6 people and 1 will probably know what you need. So I'm asking.

Thanks for any help you can give. If you don't want to post it for all to see, private e-mail me at healthywizard@earthlink.net

Thanks a lot.

Kenneth

Try Performance Magazine in Fort Worth, Tx. Phone #817-338-9444. (This is an old number- it may not be good. Not sure if this is the correct area code or not- you might want to double check it.) If this number doesn't work try Directory Assistance for Ft. Worth. They also have an office in Nashville. Anyway, they publish a series of directories each year, including a guide to Country Talent which lists management and booking agents, etc. Once you have the number for the artist's management office you can call and ask who to speak to about new material. Most firms are pretty gracious about helping people, IF the material has been copywrited. Don't waste your time or theirs by sending uncopywrited material- they won't even listen to it.If this doesn't get the right info for you, let me know and I'll dig a little deeper. I work for the video company that does Alan Jackson's tour- I don't know any of the talent, but maybe I can get one of the guys who is out there to dig up a name for you. Good luck.

Just thought of something else- Fan Fair is coming up in Nashville this month. Probably Alan Jackson and Travis Tritt will have booths there. There is probably a website for it.

Many personalities maintain web sites listed [their name].com for fans. However many also list contacts for the management company for the personality.

Thank you for your suggestions. Jim is in his 70's so he probably won't be up to riding to Nashville. Performance Magazine (online) showed the 1998 book. Travis Tritt took off 6 months and now has a new band and booking agent. I just can't seem to find out who it is.

If you could find out more on Alan Jackson Agent and Travis Tritt I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks a lot.

Ooops

Yes all of Jim's songs are copyrighted. He's written well over 500 songs in his career. Recently his gospel song "Storms Coming" stayed in the Top 20 on the gospel chart for 15 weeks.

If your like me you may remember the "DEL RAYS" a rock-a-billy group from the '50s. Jim was lead singer and guitarist for that group.

Thanks for all your help.

Do the Del Rays still exist? I ask because i believe they were recently interviewed on our local oldies station. They sounded great.

Might of been Wade Phillips he still does interviews. There are only 4 of the original guys alive.

Where are you located Amy?
