Thoughts from ole hoot [Preachin]

Folks, it's been a real "blast", as the yuppies would say, but it's time for the "old myopic goat" [whatever that is] to take a rest for awhile. Although some who want to complain about everything, find me repulsive--He has told me to "take a rest for a spell". I am NOT ruled by hateful non-believers, on the bottom of the scale, nor am I ruled by the "elete" at the top of the scale. I answer to Him and ONLY Him. He has not lost the battle or the war--so--the ones who hate me and the MESSAGE I bring-don't get to comfortable! If I'm to not come back --there will ALWAYS be another Blood Bought Christian that will take my place!

Christ IS coming soon! Nothing you can do or say that will hurry it up one second nor slow it down one second. Get used to the idea that Jesus Christ will have to be dealt with at some point in your life. Either you accept Him for your Lord and Savior BEFORE you die or you will face the Wrath of Almighty God at the Great White Throne Judgment. This is the judgment for the Lost.

Life is precious and each minute is to be cherished! Being thankful to the One who gave this life should be on each ones mind every day.

I'll check in every once inawhile and see whats up with everybody. Ya'll be nice to each other because when feelings are hurt sometimes it lasts a lifetime. Friends don't hurt friends intentionally!

For the time being---Lost souls----Jesus Christ is coming back soon--even if you don't believe it! As Steve said several times before----"Play Nice"! Ole hoot gibson. Matt.24:44

I am relatively new here, but let me be the first to say I'll miss you. I have enjoyed reading your threads. Look up, brother, your redemption draweth nigh. Hope you come back some time.

Hi Hoot, Take your rest and then come back and see us. We'll miss you. You're one of the most sensible, kind, and generous people who have ever posted here.

Dear Hoot, Myotic is not in dictionary, Please don"t be hurt, they have said some things to me too. I usually defend my savior with out totally thinking how it sounds sometimes. I so believe the time is so short, and there is a verse in the bible, and I can"t seem to find it , that saids in the last days people would scoff and say where is his comeing, they been saying that for years. and christ says he will come and they will be lost. Please come back soon, With love in christ, Irene

I have left for awhile too. Even changed my email name when I came back. Was really offended when someone wrote in that I wouldn't even know Jesus if He sat down next to me. Jesus himself said: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Matt10:34 I hope you don't stay gone to long, I will miss your stories. Love in Christ,

I, for one, am grateful for anything that means less animosity to one another here.

Oh, and the folks who built our home (90 years ago) didn't plant anything one year and almost starved cause christ was coming (1938 I believe). The neighbors saved their ---- selves. I don't think that cycle of belief will ever end, no matter the deity.

Amazing to me the desparate need folks have to feel comfortable in the world at the expense of all reason. Puzzles me, truly.

Hoot, go in peace. And remember that we don't all agree but wish no ill either.

I'll end with:

Hoot,

I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Keep the faith,

Mr/Ms Hoot, what happened to your stories? Writing a book? I am aware that you may be younger than 30. But your story telling was good, and I was swept into the past (just keep your facts straight). Someone has to tell a story for those who follow. So what you embelish a thing or two, keep it as honest and as true as you can. Good Luck!

Oh, my friend, and that's what I consider you, I will miss you so much! Your posts are the first I go to early in the morning. They have been like having a cup or coffee and a nice visit with a great friend. Please come back soon. God bless!

Hey Hoot:

Am sorry to hear about you taking a sabbatical; I have enjoyed reading your posts a whole lot. Lots of information and inspiration there. Rest them bones a spell and poke your head in time to time and make sure we are playing fair and square. Bye for now.

Hoot there will be lots of folks on here that will miss ya. I know you have personally helped me several times. I'll miss your stories and you standing up for your beliefs. I've even used the term hootism...lol....well if that ain't a hootism I just don't know what is I'd say. I sure do hope you will continue to grace us with your presence over at the christian homesteaders forum. You know we all love you over there. Until the next time we talk or the good Lord comes back...whichever comes first....we love you and take care.

Irene, I think the word was myopic, it means, I believe, near sighted. Kim

In Hoots case Myopic would be better translated, his eye is on the prize. Vicki

Hello Hoot, there are several things I do when i get to work, which is where I do my "interneting". First is coffee, then check my e- mail, and third, but not least, it is to check and see if "Hoot" wrote anything. DON'T STAY GONE TOO LONG!!!!!!!!
