I skimmed through the PFW 2001 preview mag last week at Barnes & Noble (What a great store to let you read their mags without having to buy them), and they listed the Vikings as a Wildcard entrant who would finish third in the Central behind Tampa Bay and Green Bay.

Now Tampa Bay I can understand, the "experts" have been on Dungy's jock for the better half of a decade now and he has given them little to pat themselves on the back about but I guess they just won't learn. What I can't understand is this love affair with Green Bay. This is the second organization that I have seen pick Green Bay to re emerge this season. Do they see something I don't? Green Bay has done very little to improve their rapidly declining talent base and Brett Favre is clearly on the downside of his career. I have to assume that this is just another case of the "experts" being a bunch of hacks who have a passing knowledge of NFL goings ons beyond the limits of their respective cities.
