Canadian homeschoolers

We have been in Canada less than a year, so I am not familiar with Canadian sources for homeschool materials. I am especially interested in what you all use for teaching Canadian history and geography. I would prefer something from a Christian perspective since we do not believe in evolution, but if it's not Christian and you like it anyway, tell me about it. I am thinking about the "Discovering Canada" series of 8 books or "Footprints in the Snow". Have any of you used those, and how did they work out for you? I would also be interested in any literature-based approach to history. Thanks so much.

P.S. I have to admit that I have always loved US history. When we moved from the northeast to Georgia and then Texas, I had to re-think through my views of the American Civil War. Looking at it from the Southern perspective, I can understand why they seceded. I think I'd have done the same. So I am quite prepared to look at the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812 from a Loyalist perspective!:o)

Here is an excellent source for Canadian history and geography. Also I have found their service to be excellent -- and I live in BC. The Home Works, P.O. Box 580, Amonte, ON KOA 1A0. Phone 613-256-9428 FAX 613-256-9431. You will find lots in their 2001 catalogue to interest you, I am sure. Enjoy.
