When I load a new roll of film into my EOS Rebel it rewinds the film into the canister. Are there any simple adjustments or things to check? If not what are best cost-effective repair options? (of course, I'm out of warranty by a month or two). Thanks.

This issue came up before on the EOS Mailing List

• Remove any film.
• Close the back.
• Push the shutter release button
• Open the back and load a new roll of film

Only one more thought: could the "Rewind" button be stuck?
In any case, sounds like time for the repair shop. Or maybe a replacement body.
