Outlaws, gold and dead monkeys. [WARNING-CHRISTIAN MATERIAL]

From the small town west of here the Maysville to Mount Carmel stagecoach line trail starts meanderin through the countryside to it's destination. Immediately after leaving Maysville the trail passes a big cemetary with graves dating back to the late 1700's. According to legend [old lies] Jesse James once robbed this stage of $800 in gold somewhere in these parts. Hid the money but never came back for it.

Some have speculated that he may've hid that gold in this old cemetary. I don't know, never looked for it there and really have any intentions of doin so--however---it may be true! I'd look kinda foolish out there with my metal detector check'n around all those old stones, trees and other landmarks.

One stone I wouldn't even bother lookin around. A monkey's headstone. Yep, that's what I said-a monkey! Seems this childless couple kept a monkey as their child for several years and it died at age 24, I think. Gossip had it that in the dark of night that monkey was burried right amongst human folks. Supposed to've been a big to do over it but the grave is still there-or at least the last time I checked! I'm also not say'n it's a monkey burried there either. I don't know but it sure is odd to have all those little gizmos, whirrlygigs and thing-a-ma-jigs a spinn'n, toys etc-if it was a child there. Doesn't matter to me either way but then again-I don't have relation burried there.

I don't have monkeys for ancestors. I'm made in my Fathers image and He most certainly wasn't a monkey!! Shortly we'll all get the chance to see Him. His coming is at hand.

Correction on dates. Dates on the stone are: Born--1966 and died 1994. I find it hard to believe that a 28 year old man would have little trinkets, crete lambs etc adorning his grave! The grave also appears to be small like a child's! Matt.24:44
