Falling off idle

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

On certain occassions when I pull in the clutch or close the gas, the rpms drop pass idle and the engine shuts off.

I've heard a few people had this problems but does anyone know what is the cause and the cure? Fuel injectors? Throttle synchronization? Bad gas? Thanks.

I had the same occurence when I drove last week 2200km or 1375 miles in the alps but only with one tank of gas. So I think it came from the gas. I used different types of gas Unleaded, Leaded, Super plus but it doesn´t change very much.

I had the same problem and it came from the "body injectors" or "farfallate" I think they call it in Italian. It seems like a lot of people had the same problem. (A friend of mine also had it).

I went to my dealer in Barcelona and changed them at no charge (warranty). It has never happened again since then.
