greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

I bought an EOS eye cup for the Rebel 2000 of the internet. BUt when I tried to put it on the camera it was too big for the eyepiece. is there a special one for this camera?

Answers

There are several different eye cups for different EOS models. I have seen at least three. I do know that the models that offer eye control are bigger than the older models.

Canon's literature specifies the following for the Rebel 2000:

Eyecup Eb Rubber Frame Eb Dioptric Adjustment Lens E (looks like several are available) Magnifier S Angle Finder C

It looks like all of these will "fit" your Rebel 2000. It's a matter of which you want. My guess is the Eyecup Eb. Here's a web link that'll get you the info. http://www.adorama.com

Search for the word eyecup, choose "Cameras and Lenses" and scroll until you see the Canon Eyecup for the Rebel 2000. It's $8.95 on their web page. I don't endorse this vendor because I've never used them but I came across the site today and thought it would be useful to answer your question.
