I have been offered a used Eos Elan IIE and 24-85 lens which is in perfect condition for $499.00. Is this a good price?

A quick check on Ebay for completed items, shows "near mint" Elan IIe's recently trading for about $290, and the 24-85's going for about $250. There were also several Elan IIe's with 24-85mm lens combonations that went for just under $500.

Keep in mind that Ebay auctions are a known good place to sell because you can get the most money there. If this is a dealer, it's a good price. If this is from an individual, and there is no warranty at all, then it's not great. It is, however, a great camera & lens.

Thanks Jim. I went ahead and got this camera it was from a dealer in Canada and they even threw in a one year warranty.
