Tamron 24-135

Does anybody has exprience in the new Tamron 24-135 lens? I understand it not up to the standard of the prime lens or any F2.8 zoom but the range is rather attractive. How does it compare to Nikon 28-105 or 24-120?

Thanks.

Hi

Popular photography published a review of this new lens last month. It seems to be a good zoom lens (aS you said - not as good as prime ) performing better than most others in its focal range. It's supposed to perform optically better than the older and much debated Nikon 24- 120 and is probably closer to the Canon 28-135IS in performance (sans the IS function). Mind its relativerly high price though... you may be able to get a better lens of a different focal length for the same price...
