Canadian Web site hacked Customers' credit card numbers exposed By SANDY McMURRAY-- Special to Canoe
CD and movie retailer A&B Sound has shut down its Web site following a breach of security that exposed the credit card numbers and expiry dates of some customers. Online ordering at absound.ca has been suspended while police and "external computer security experts" conduct an investigation.
According to the company, only shoppers with outstanding orders at the online store were affected. A press release, posted on the A&B Sound site, emphasized that customers at the company's regular retail outlets were not affected.
