I was recently switched by my ISP to earthlink. I have been having a hell of a time getting in here since then, am I alone?

Well, helen is not having luck getting in either, so I take that question back... How many of you have been locked out of here recently?

Unk, you are not alone. A great many were locked out yesterday, including me. I am suspecting it's an East Coast phenomenon.

I couldn't get in for about 24 hours. Fortunately Rich kept my bboard bookmarked and found me yesterday. I hate to steal your thunder Uncle, but Greenspun's law suit kind of worries me and I'd like to post my bboard url again. Spinoff. I'd invite you to share the keys, but I haven't bothered to figure out the bboard myself much.

I have been locked out for three days. Just got in now and this thread was the first thing I saw. Interesting, my ISP was also just purchased by Earthlink. Several weeks ago they changed my UsedID without telling me and for a few days I couldn't get online at all.

I see that the greenspun home page (www.greenspun.com) carries the following:

This forum has been unavailable via the www.greenspun.com server as of lunch today (Pacific Time) - at least the sporadic times I tried.

Used to be that some LUSENET forums were on one server and not the other. I am not sure how they have it as of now

But by changing to the hv.greenspun.com server, I am now able to get in.
