I am in need of a report on how Edgar A. Poe's life affected his writing style. I need it by Friday. If you can help then thanks.

Less so or more not as easy to determine as for Stephen King. He tended to put some distance between his art and his life. His idealzed and fantastic descriptions, the themes of loss and sorrow appear early on so that subsequent tragedies in his life only intensified certain aspects already in his artisitic objectives. Neither drugs nor alcohol contribruted much(at least not much postitively)and dry spells in his writing occurred during moments of crisis and stress. Bitterness, anxiety, retreat to the "supernal" Ideal of his innermost soul. Also he had to write to earn his keep and advance his literary causes.

We still take a lot for granted, thinking we see Poe's tragic life reflected in his art, or maybe it is vice versa? Compare this with Stephen King's recent release "On Writing".
