creosote (build-up from soft woods)

how is larch[tamarack] for creosote build up heat efficiently. which would be the best wood to heat a house

All members of the pine family produce pitch buildup, the best woods are dry, year old, hardwoods, like oak, most maples, locust, hickory, catalpa, etc. Can't miss if you stay with the hardwoods. The also produce twice as much BTU's per cord than the pines.
