I've always been a little disappointed whenever I've learned that a regular on this forum occasionally posts using other "anonymous" names. I've always viewed it as being somehow "dishonest" and the regulars who I've learned do this have lost a certain amount of the respect and credibility I formerly held for them. Whenever I learn of somebody doing this, it always sticks in my mind. Particularly when it's somebody I previously never suspected of using such tactics.

I mention all that because I distinctly recall from another thread your admission of occasionally posting using anonymous names. Now I see your response to this anon's question. Clearly you are implying you do NOT post using anonymous names. I have to ask, Cherri...

Which of your statements is the truth? If I've been under the wrong impression since reading your admission on another thread, I'd like you to correct me. On the other hand, if you do indeed occasionally post anonymously, perhaps you should clarify the rather misleading statement you made above.

Oh for crying out loud. I'm the one who posted "Go Cherri" and I meant it. Cherri is like a hero to me. She's one of the few people on the board who is speaking the plain, honest truth.

As for you CD, you continually disappoint me. I remember the old days when you used to be funny. Now you're just a "nice guy" who is deluded about your government.

Why in the world WOULDN'T a person post anonymously on the web? Are you even aware of the FBI and CIA infiltration of the internet? Have you heard of intelligence programs like Echelon and Carnivore and the like? Don't you know that anyone who dares to dissent with this government is a likely target of police investigation and targeting? Did you not see this occur recently in Seattle and Quebec?

CD, The first time I posted on TB2000 it was not under my own name. It was somewhere around a year before I went there to try to debunk the Y2K fud. Sometime in the past 6 months or so I was post a lot of articles on Bush. There was one I was going to use, I had cut and pasted it already, when I relaised it was off the wall and if I posted it seriously, I would really be going to extremes. So I decided to make fun of myself for almost posting it without checking out the facts. I did it under a different name, or maybe a different spelling of my name, I don't remember exactly. My reason for doing so was to chide myslef. Unfortunatly I think Patricia took it for someone giving me a bad time and defended me. I wrote her and explained what I had done and why. That reafirmed my commitment to only post under my own name. I may have posted one other time under a different name, but I think that was 2-3 years ago on TB2000 when I wanted to ask a question without them knowing it was me so they would answer it without the hostility they usually replied to me with. It was something to do with gardening I think.

Other then that I don't believe I have ever used a name except my own. I have not "trolled" or posted as an anon. I hope this clears the up the confusion over what I wrote. I haven't "trolled", but there were a few times I did not use my own name for different reasons.

You@go.girl, I'm glad you like to read the things I post about Bush and Co. It amazes me how many things that are going on, there seems to be no end to what they are doing and getting away with (so far).
