I want to encode some asf files I have into avi files. What is the best software program to do it.

I am in the process of making a SVCD, and already have the following pertinent softare-

* Odix Mpack 2000 (registered) -used to split & join various files * Virtual Dub * The Adaptec suite which includes Easy CD Creator 3.5c * avi2vcd Version 1.1 * Windows Media Player 6.4 * Cinamatograph

-I've been informed that I should use the TMPGEnc. Any other suggestions?
