Development Chart 11 - Ilford SFX 200

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

I'd like to collect developing recommendations for Ilford SFX 200 to put on my web site. Please include developer, time, temperature, agitation method, exposure index, and comments about the film.

My personal recommendation is PMK+ for 12 minutes at 75 degrees. I use an EI of 100 and agitate continuously for the first 30 seconds, then for 5 seconds (2 inversions) every 30 seconds.

SFX@ISO 200/120 format DiXactol single bath 8 min.@ 21C. Using Paterson Universal tanks, 30 seconds continuous agittation thereafter 3 inversions every 30 seconds. Superb IR negs. of gentle gradation even in harsh lighting. I always use a Heliopan 695 (Wratten 89B equiv.) filter with a 5 stop increase.
