Decided to fit my new silmotor pipes today,i intend to have the connecting pipes and end tips polished eventually but thought i better check that it all lines up first. The new system now comes in 2 sections only,before the connecting pipes were separate and held together with springs. This makes for a neat installation but my pipes touch the underside of the seat unit and cannot be adjusted-i will have to get some sort of heat shield. the bike now runs unevenly up to about 4.5K then spins up really quickly with a greatly improved mid/top end.I assume the rough running is caused by the chip rather than the pipes.The bike is now LOUD.Does not sound as nice as modified standard pipes.
